I’m so glad you are interested in Providence Christian School. It is more than a job for me to welcome you here. Both my daughters have attended here and we call PCS family. I know that choosing the right school for your child and family is an important decision. I want to share with you all PCS has to offer and how we can help you make that important decision. Feel free to call or email me. We offer Discovery Nights where you are invited to meet some staff and learn more about PCS programs. But the best possible way for you to find out about us is to Schedule a Visit. I’d be happy to schedule a visit and give you a personalized tour of our campus.
At Providence Christian we require all Kindergarten and some transfer students to take a Placement Exam for placement and readiness purposes. The test may be taken by appointment and may be taken multiple times.

Providence Christian is accredited by the Western Association of School and Colleges (WASC) and by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). We are also a member of Christian Schools International (CSI).
The school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. We offer Extended Care both before and after school from 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Each class may vary. Our goal remains to offer a student to teacher ratio that fosters students’ success. Most classes have a 20:1 student:teacher ratio.
Excellent education requires qualified people working in a quality environment. The Christian men and women of the faculty and staff each demonstrate professional excellence. Their desire is to challenge students while developing in them high moral and ethical character. The faculty of Providence Christian participates in professional development education on a regular and recurring basis enabling them to remain lifelong learners. As an independent Christian school, our families are members of more than 26 churches. Our financial aid program allows us to expand our economic diversity.
A hot lunch is offered for a fee everyday. Students may also bring their own lunches other days to school.
Yes, our students’ security is of the utmost importance. The campus is completely fenced and all of our employees are familiar with our Emergency Response Plan which covers natural and human-created disasters. We conduct periodic safety exercises on campus including fire, earthquake, and lockdown drills in order to prepare our students and staff in the event of any campus emergency. All campus safety procedures and drills have been developed in accordance with safety industry standards.
We believe each individual is uniquely created by God with gifts and talents. Providence Christian aims to develop each student into becoming the person God designed him or her to be. A well-rounded education includes ample opportunities for student involvement in athletics, enriching fine arts, and other student activities. Spiritual growth and high academic achievement are central themes of the Providence experience.
No, Providence Christian does not require uniforms, but does adhere to a dress code. All students are required to dress neatly and modestly, as is appropriate for the particular occasion and in a manner that is not disruptive to the learning environment or draws excessive attention to self.
Students are tested in reading and math. Students may be accepted on academic probation if the student does not meet the academic standards. Students with no serious discipline situations may be accepted without restriction. In addition, Providence accepts students who are active, growing Christians who fully agree with the school’s Statement of Faith and who have at least one parent who is an active, growing Christian and fully agrees with the school’s Statement of Faith.
Providence Christian prides itself on the community atmosphere. We welcome and provide opportunities for involvement for all students and families. Parents can join parent-led groups such as Parent Club, which helps to support our teachers/classrooms and hosts events throughout the year to assist new families and students in assimilating into community life at our school.
We offer athletics, band, choir, Student Council, and many field trips for all ages. We have a family-like atmosphere where family is welcome and encouraged to attend all school events. Our events provide for positive social interactions amongst our student body and school families. Organized events include lunch time ASB planned activities for middle school.
Yes. Tuition Assistance is available. We use an independent service called FACTS. Parents apply online and FACTS evaluates and provides a recommendation to the Finance Team. It is our desire that no family is turned away due to finances.
